Pie line refurbishment and upgrade
The HMI and PLC were obsolete. The line had never run well or reliably. The machine had, had its day.
Following a mechanical refurbishment, a new intuitive control system was fitted, along with a 3D printed cam actuator. The operators can now easily adjust the action timings without having to call the Engineer

Obsolete deck oven
The parts were no longer available to repair the oven.
Universal deck oven touch screen. Available in Centigrade and Fahrenheit.
Separate control of crown and sole heating.
Audible and visual bake ready indication.
On screen fault diagnostics.
Flour and water dispensing
The old unreliable system was replaced with a quicker control system. That allows simultaneous measuring of flour and water.
Silo remaining contents displayed.
Temperature control option.
Wastewater Treatment
It was necessary to react quickly to ensure discharge parameters were not exceeded.
The existing drainage channels were used to create a sump to collect the wastewater.
Which is then pumped through a flocculator, where chemicals are dosed, before solids separation in the Lamella tank.
The process is controlled and also monitored for alarm conditions via app or text message
Design considerations
Whenever possible, we use off the shelf generic parts. All of the HMI and PLC software is free issue.
